She/He will conceive, curate, and lead a diverse schedule of Talks, Conferences, and other educational activities including film, performances and music. She/He will address primarily adult audiences of both specialist and non-specialist interests and knowledge in order to create expanded audience-engaged practices throughout the museum. She/He will work in partnership with the Beatrice C. Mayer Director of Education to curate and manage opportunities to raise the profile of art historical, critical, theoretical and cultural debate in the city and beyond.</p>
<p>MA in Art History, Curatorial Studies, Art Education or equivalent required. A minimum of three years experience in a museum, education, or curatorial position or equivalent experience required. Demonstrated excellent writing and verbal skills required. Extensive knowledge of art history, the contemporary art world, and museum education as well as demonstrated experience curating or producing museum opportunities required. Computer skills required. General mobility throughout all museum properties is required. Ability to undertake national and international travel is advantageous. Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday with evenings and special events as required.</p>

They will conceive, develop, and manage all interpretative materials and exhibition learning for museum audiences in collaboration with the curatorial department with the ambition to intensify all visitor experiences and help create opportunities for how meanings are generated. She/He will also work in partnership with the Beatrice C. Mayer Director of Education to curate and manage a program of public talks and opportunities to raise MCA’s profile of art historical, critical, theoretical, and cultural debate and artistic programs in the city and beyond.</p>
<p>MA in Art History, Curatorial Studies or equivalent required. PhD or journalism degree would be an additional asset. A minimum of five years experience in a museum interpretation or curatorial position, or equivalent experience required. Demonstrated excellent writing, editing and verbal skills required. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago seeks a full-time Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director for Administration. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director for Administration (CFODDA) plays a critical role in ensuring the preservation of assets and leading the financial and administrative functions. The CFODDA will have day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all finance and administrative activities of the Museum, including direct responsibility for accounting, information technology, human resources, and property management. In addition, CFODDA will ensure that all financial and administrative policies, plans, procedures and protocols are followed.</p>
<p>As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFODDA will be an advisor to the other divisional leaders, evaluating and assisting them with budgeting, financial monitoring and analysis, and human resources management. S/he will provide financial information to the Director, Deputy Director and Board in order to make actionable recommendations on both strategy and implementation. Also serves as staff liaison to Finance, Investment, and Audit committees of the board and provides financial reports to the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.</p>
<p>B.S. in Accounting – or equivalent required. CPA or MBA a plus. Minimum ten years of broad finance and administrative experience, demonstrating progressively responsible leadership roles. Must have extensive knowledge of non-profit accounting in accordance with GAAP, as well as experience monitoring and tracking investments. Experience required in overseeing administration and human resource activities and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical problem solving skills and proven experience gathering and evaluating administrative and financial information for making recommendations to senior leadership. Must also have experience with managing technology systems to support a growing organization. Proficiency in computer spreadsheets, presentation software, modeling, and report writing are essential. Demonstrated ability to forge mutually-respectful and effective relationships with diverse groups, including trustees, committee members, staff, supporters, auditors, and vendors. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the presence to serve as an effective spokesperson for the museum in all financial and administrative matters. Museum experience a plus.</p>

<p>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other related field required. Three to five years professional experience in software and web application development required. Proven experience with clean, semantically correct HTML(5), CSS, and expert knowledge in developing with object-oriented programming languages, databases, jQuery/JavaScript, and PHP/MySQL required. Web development will occur in WordPress, so experience creating custom WordPress themes and plugins, and using AJAX with WordPress is key (having publicly published themes and plugins is a bonus). Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications, both Mac and Windows platforms, and have strong knowledge of online best practices, SEO, and modern web design trends. Creation and use of web services (i.e. REST), secure application and E-commerce gateway development experience, and PCI knowledge is a plus. Ideal candidate will have familiarity with responsive design development, mobile application development, and basic Linux server setup/maintenance. <p>Primary projects include development and implementation of Exhibition, Performance, Education, and Special Events marketing efforts; audience development and marketing initiatives including ‘grass-roots’ marketing; advertising media buying and planning; media sponsorship relations; metrics tracking and reporting; research, analysis and surveying.</p>
