MCA Screen
Martin Scorcese’s The King of Comedy

Tue, Dec 3, 2013, 6–8 pm

Featuring the incomparable comedienne Sandra Bernhard in a supporting performance (as well as appearances by members of the Clash and the director’s mother, father, and daughter Cathy), The King of Comedy is Scorsese’s cinematic exploration of celebrity, media, and obsession. The critically acclaimed satire stars Jerry Lewis as the abrasive talk-show host Jerry Langford, and Robert De Niro as his dangerously fixated fan Rupert Pupkin.

Presented in conjunction with Sandra Bernhard’s Sandyland (MCA Stage: Dec 5 and 7).
