Support from MCA members allows us to provide free programs, thought-provoking public art, and inspiring educational opportunities. Join us June 7 as we throw open our doors so you can see firsthand how member support creates an artist-activated, audience-engaged institution.

10 am–5 pm: Exhibitions on view in the MCA Galleries

Simon Starling: Metamorphology (Opens June 7)
Unbound: Contemporary Art After Frida Kahlo

10 am–5 pm: Double Discount for Members
MCA Members enjoy a 20% discount on all in-store purchases of in-stock, regularly priced merchandise.

10 am–5 pm: Family activity
If you could curate an exhibition or create a program at the MCA, what would it look like? With paper and colored pencils, make the MCA yours by designing your own exhibitions and performances throughout the building.

Noon–3 pm: MCA history lesson and free lemonade
Learn about the MCA’s history and how the museum has changed since being founded in 1967. Discuss past and current exhibitions with an MCA Artist Guide and enjoy a complimentary cup of lemonade.

Noon, 1, 2, and 3 pm: MCA docent tours
Join a docent-led tour to gain deeper insight into key themes and works featured in the MCA’s exhibitions.

3–4 pm: Simon Starling opening remarks
Turner Prize–winning artist Simon Starling speaks with Manilow Senior Curator Dieter Roelstraete about his new exhibition, Metamorphology, which interrogates the histories of art and design, scientific discoveries, and global economic and ecological issues, among other themes.
