The MCA conjures an enchanting evening of magic, movies and music with Chicago’s most celebrated magicians. Come see Dennis Watkins as he performs Harry Houdini’s legendary illusion, “Metamorphosis”; be amazed by modern master Eugene Burger as he confounds minds with the astonishing art of close-up magic; and behold David Kovac as he dazzles audiences with his comedic take on the timeless “Suitcase Act.” Spellbinding magicians Sean Masterson, Alba, Benjamin Barnes, Robert Charles and Jeanette Andrews also perform.

Artist and curator Christy LeMaster presents a 16mm film program of short, experimental films that reveals the magic of cinema, and Plastic Crimewave (a.k.a. Steve Krakow) spins psychedelic sounds and cosmic beats. The night ends with a live performance by the awesome Girl Group Chicago, who magically re-create the sounds and looks of the 1960s with their charming pop harmonies and custom-made mod dresses.

Presented with Magic Chicago and Event Creative. Fresh, made-to-order food is available for purchase at Puck’s Café.
