MCA Live
Salonathon, Life On Mars

Tue, Oct 21, 2014, 6–8 pm

By combining a variety of performances, from dance and improv to live music and puppet shows, Salonathon strives to provide a home for emerging, underground, and genre-defying art. For their MCA performance they respond to the music, fashion and shifting personas of David Bowie.

Founded and curated by Jane Beachy, Salonathon has hosted a weekly event at Beauty Bar since July 2011; presents events around the city at such venues as the Metro, Steppenwolf Garage, Logan Square Auditorium, Berlin Nightclub, and the Tall Ship Windy; and has partnered with such entities as the Chicago Reader, the Empty Bottle, Printer’s Ball, and Camp Wandawega.
