Join us to explore the exhibition Pandora’s Box: Joseph Cornell Unlocks the Collection. With your imagination and the artwork as inspiration, ask yourself ‘what is a box?’ as you experiment with structures of all kinds.

Studio: Cardboard Collaboration
Education Center lobby
Walk into a life-sized box, inspired by Joseph Cornell’s structures, and contribute to an ongoing cardboard creation with artist Shoshanna Utchenik.

Studio: Freedom of Chance
2nd floor atrium
Explore that there is no one way to make a drawing as you play a game invented by artist Alex Chitty and inspired by Joseph Cornell’s process of collaging.

Studio: Capture a Sound
4th floor lobby
Inspired by Nick Cave’s Sound Suit, listen to sounds of all kinds and create sculptures of what these sounds might look like with artist Kristin Sabatino.
