Family Day: Deconstruction

Sat, Apr 13, 2013, 11  am–3 pm

Family Day

Inspired by artists in the exhibition Destroy the Picture: Painting the Void, deconstruct objects and materials of all sorts as you build new creations.

Studio: Dissolving Drawing with Kristin Sabatino
Create a drawing and then watch it disappear.

Studio: Taking Apart with Alex Chitty
Break down a clay sculpture and sculpt something new.

Studio: Remove and Move with Tim Nickodemus
Transform a large paper structure by taking it apart or moving things around.

Studio: Excavation Station with Anastasia Tinari
Tear into a layered billboard to find hidden images or leave one for someone else to discover.

Tot Spot
Tot Spot is a great place to rest and recharge as a family. Enjoy a complementary healthy snack, build a structure, or read a book. Join us. All are welcome.

Find the Artist
Artist Zak Arctander is roaming throughout the galleries—find Zak and join him for a conversation or game.

Scavenger Hunt
Picture clues lead to six artworks. Complete the search and stop by one of the registration tables to claim a prize.
