Co-presented with The Guild Complex Winner of the Lannan Foundation Cultural Freedom Prize, the inimitable writer and distinguished journalist/historian reads from his new memoir, Voices of Time: A Life in Stories. Galeano has lived his life championing literature and human rights and is beloved, feared, and influential. His books include the monumental trilogy Memory of Fire, a revisionary history of the Americas, and the ground-breaking Open Veins of Latin America, the first serious analysis of Latin American history from “below.” Based in Montevideo, Uruguay, he is traveling to only seven cities as part of his first US tour in decades.
