The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago seeks a full-time Special and Rental Events Assistant to work directly with the Director of Special Events and Rentals and the Director of Development Events to help organize, promote, and produce both fundraising and private rental events. Duties include: coordinating invitation mailings and marketing, event RSVPs, payment information, and guest lists; answering incoming rental inquiries and scheduling on-site walkthroughs with clients; coordinating load-in/load-out and overseeing the set-up and tear-down of events; and serving as a liaison between the rental client and museum staff.
College or equivalent life experience required. Candidate must be highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and demonstrated customer-service skills. Previous special or rental event experience is highly desirable. Ability to operate general office equipment and to have mobility throughout museum, offices, and event spaces is required. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with evenings and weekends as required.
