2014: a year of cutting-edge contemporary culture at MCA Chicago

The groundbreaking exhibition Isa Genzken: Retrospective (Apr–Aug 2014) chronicles the career of one of the most important and influential female sculptors of the past thirty years.

The MCA is proud to be the only US venue to host David Bowie Is (Sep 2014–Jan 2015). The first international retrospective of David Bowie—one of the most pioneering and influential performers of our time—captivated sold-out crowds at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

Visit MCA Stage in February to see choreographer Kyle Abraham presents his autobiographical dance The Radio Show.

Legendary artist Mikhail Baryshnikov joins Big Dance Theater in Man in a Case in May, a multimedia theater work based on two stories of unrequited love by Anton Chekhov.

This small sample of what the MCA has planned for 2014 illustrates the kinds of spectacular, provocative programs that we can introduce to the city of Chicago thanks to your support.
