Performance Programs Assistant
The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago seeks a full-time Performance Programs Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Performance Programs and the Performance Programs Department. The Performance Programs Assistant will assist the Director with the volunteer advisory Performance Committee. S/he will be the lead contact with the marketing and media relations areas of the Museum. S/he will coordinate a range of departmental projects from development to execution, working independently with minimal supervision to develop solutions to assigned tasks.
Bachelor’s degree required with one to two years experience in the performing arts field or in nonprofit administration strongly preferred. Proven written and oral communication skills needed along with applicable computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. General mobility throughout building and light lifting required. The full-time schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with some evenings or weekends as required for implementation of responsibilities and related Performance Programs activities.
